Nigeria had dominated the first of the game, netting 4 goals before the let the win sleeped away. They allowed Sierra Leone to come from behind against the 3 times at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
It was Musa’s 94th appearance for the Super Eagles in the match, he featured for 65 minutes before been replaced by Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Feeling sorry, Musa has promised his side will do all it takes to secure victory in the reverse fixture come Tuesday 17th November 2020 in Freetown.

Despite the result, Nigeria is still top in Group L with seven points from three games after defeating the Republic of Benin and Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations .
With a victory against Sierra Leone in Freetown, the Super Eagles will secure an early ticket to the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
