The 14th edition of the prestigious Nigeria’s Premier music award show The Headies award was held virtual and live media due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
According to the Ayo Animashaun, organiser of the award ceremony, it was difficult yet interesting producing the show virtually.
With funnyman Bovi and Nancy Isime as this edition’s host, we saw fast-rising singers like Fireboy DML, Bad Boy Timz and Omah Lay receive their first ever award.
The year-in-review was between July 2019 and September 2020. Fireboy led the way with five wins including Album of The Year for his sophomore album, Apollo while Wizkid won two awards including Artist of The Year.
